The Carroll County Clerk is responsible for voter registration and conducting elections and Motor Vehicle Registration, transfer and titling, as well as the collection of Delinquent Real Estate Taxes. The office also issues and maintains Marriage Licenses and issues Fishing and Hunting License. Land Records are recorded in the Clerk's Office, such as Deeds, Mortgages, Easements, Contracts, Leases, Liens and Encumbrances. The recording of Wills and Orders to Probate, County and Fiscal Court Orders, Motor Vehicle Liens, Veterans Discharges and many other records are also on file at the Clerk's office. Most records are open for public inspection and copies under the Open Records Act.

HOW TO VOTE IN CARROLL COUNTY |
The ABSENTEE PORTAL is now open at govoteky.com (Link in comments) for anyone that
needs to apply for an absentee ballot. You must complete the questions and chose from one of
the options listed. See first picture below. Once this is done a ballot will be mailed to you. DO
NOT apply for an Absentee Ballot if you plan to vote in person, as you can only do one or the
other. Once voted, you have the option to return by mail at $1.56 postage or drop them into the
election drop boxes located right inside in the front and back doors of the courthouse. Please
follow enclosed directions for either option.
IN PERSON ABSENTEE/EARLY VOTING will begin on MAY 4-6 and MAY 9-11. You will be able
to come into our office at the normal office hours of 8:30-4:30 to vote. One of the choices in the
second picture below must apply to you.
NO EXCUSE IN PERSON ABSENTEE VOTING/EARLY VOTING will begin on MAY 12, 13 and
14th. Our office will be open from 8:00-6:00 each ofthose days. We will be located at the
courthouse at 440 Main Street on the 2nd floor. There is an elevator in the hallway for anyone
that may need this assistance.
ELECTION DAY is MAY 17,2022. All precincts will vote at General Butler Conference Center
from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. Signage for handicap entrance will be posted, and handicap parking will be
available in the upper parking lot.
